Built for PCR and NGS workflows
Product render placeholder — Tuna
Existing workflow gap
Conventional manual clean-up depends entirely on the operator. As sample volumes grow, these repetitive steps become a bottleneck, consuming technician time and increasing the risk of fatigue and strain in high-throughput workflows.
Tuna completely eliminates this by automating these steps.
What changes when you automate clean-up?
Small differences in how clean-up is performed can lead to meaningful differences in results. Tuna takes the technique out of the process.
MANUAL CLEAN-UP
Inconsistent aspiration
Bead carryover
Residual ethanol
Over- or under-drying
Contamination risk
Technician time cost
WITH TUNA
Standardized aspiration
Controlled bead separation
Consistent washing and removal
Standardized drying
Enclosed, automated workflow
True walk-away operation

How it works
Tuna automatically transfers magnetic bead-bound nucleic acids through each purification step, delivering purified DNA or RNA into the elution wells, ready for downstream applications.

Load samples & beads
Add your samples and magnetic beads to the designated Bind wells.
Add wash solution
Add 70-80% ethanol to the Wash 1 and Wash 2 wells, according to your protocol.
Add elution buffer
Add the required Elution Buffer to the Elution wells at your desired elution volume.
Start the run
Load the plate into Tuna and start the Clean-up run. Tuna takes care of the rest.
WHERE TUNA FITS
The automation tier between the magnetic stand and the liquid handler
Labs today choose between two extremes: a manual magnetic rack, or a general-purpose liquid-handling workstation. Tuna is built for the labs in between.
Manual magnetic racks
TUNA
General liquid handling workstations
Fully operator-dependent
Standardized separation, wash, dry, and elution
Broad, multi-application capability
No standardized aspiration, drying, or timing
Purpose-built for AMPure XP, SPRI, and similar chemistries
Higher cost and larger footprint
Low cost, high variability
8-24 samples, ~30 minutes, 4.5 kg
Longer method-development cycles
Occupies skilled technician time
No method development burden
Built for more than clean-up alone
